When it comes to migration, many only think about the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and the like. These Countries are now known as the big leagues and do not come cheap by way of migration! Yet there are several other nice countries that allow for cheap migration using several routes that leave money in your pocket.

In this series, we will be examining some of the more pocket-friendly Countries, where one can easily fulfill their lifelong economic dreams as migrants. We hope this article will help many to make better migration and financial choices.

  1. Norway. As we have explained in our previous migration article, the easiest way to move abroad is through the ‘education pathway’ other ways include career, investment, etc. When we talk about academics, Norway is a fantastic country to move to and the reason why this is so is simply that academic tuition is mostly completely free in this Scandinavian Country. Imagine moving to the United Kingdom to school for a master’s degree, your minimum tuition fee as an international student in the UK will be around £13,000. Now imagine having to get that same degree in Norway at zero tuition fee! Sounds like a cost-saving move to me! This might yet be the most financially savvy decision you will make in a long while! Furthermore, all you need to apply for your study visa to Norway is your academic transcript and your international passport, you do not need to show any test of English as a foreign language. once you can prove that you can take care of yourself in Norway (usually with €10,000 in a bank account) you are good to go.
  2. Germany. Surprisingly, Germany also comes through as a cheap education migration Country, again for the same reason that tuition is mostly free! Also, Germany accepts grades like Second class lower, Third-class grades, and even national diplomas for post-graduate education. Germany also has free vocational schools for tradesmen and women. However, do note that Germany requires the sum of €10,800 in a blocked German account which you will access once you arrive in Germany.
  3. Iceland. This is another great destination for would-be Migrants. You do not need to show a blocked account and the proof for subsistence is only about €6,000 with the promise of free tuition. Iceland however needs proof of English language test, unlike Germany and Norway.

Exceptional Rewards for FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers

0

Football being the most popular sport in the world has always been one the highest paying sport careers ever. The World Cup is the Zenith of tournaments in football, a players dream, a country’s pride, again to be held this year in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.

For Qatar 2022, the largest is 700million dollars. The prize money will be distributed at 2million dollars each for each participating team. At the group stage, they get paid 10million dollars each. This means the higher the team goes, the more they get paid. The winner of the world cup takes home 50 million dollars. However, FIFA also pays about 209 million dollars to the clubs for their players’ participation in the tournament, while the insurance fee adds up to about 138.5 million dollars.

These payments would go to the football associations of qualifying nations, and naturally the players get rewarded from the pool too.

Playing football or Soccer as some nations choose to call it, can be a globally rewarding career for the consistently diligent player and for participating countries at tournaments such as the FIFA world cup.

The Fédération Internationale of Football Association (FIFA) oversees every set of rules related to player transfers globally. Training compensation is one of the compensation rules of FIFA. For a professional footballer, benefitting from this payment sometimes requires that the player registers first as a professional player in another country other than the one where he would be trained; and also the player’s subsequent international transfer from one club to another. Upon every club transfer, the new club pays the player’s previous professional club a training compensation. And then the player also gets paid a training compensation a month after signing a professional contract in the new club. Transfer fees are usually not disclosed and different clubs usually have different financial values according to the confederation to which it belongs and the caliber of the training.

In the football reward system, there is what we call Solidarity Payments. These Solidarity payments are usually distributed to all clubs that previously participated in training the player between his 12th and 23rd birthdays at a proportional rate depending on how long the player spent at each of those clubs.

Finally, from a financial perspective, a player’s ability to earn money is also dependent on his or her success on the pitch, which also determines the kinds of sponsorships and commercial appeal such players can attract. A player’s earnings can be extremely volatile and build up over a short period of time. Most football players make the bulk of the money by playing for clubs while they usually play on the country teams as patriots and also to showcase their skills and not necessarily for the token their country offers them. Their peak earnings can be as little as three to six years in a professional career and just one big contract in the premier league can be all a player secures to transform his financial state. By putting the right planning and implementation in place over time, most top footballers can easily be financially independent by the end of their careers.

Financial Tips For Intending Migrants

0

Migration is a key topic all over the World. People want to move for several reasons, some just want to move for no reason at all. Some factors that inform migration includes Economics, Health, Family Environment, Fear, Adventure, Ignorance, Curiosity and even plain old Stupidity, to mention but a few. In this article, we outline some financial truths about migration.

  1. Money is Never the Number One Hindrance to Migration:

If the reverse was true then all the rich people would live in certain countries and all the poor people would leave in certain countries, but there are folks who have a ton of money but can’t leave their country of birth for reasons like improper documentation, improper source of wealth, ignorance, etc. The moral of the truth is that you do not need all the money in the world in order to migrate! You need more courage than money to leave your country of birth for another country, this is known as the fear of the unknown.

  1. Despite Point Number One, It Will cost you good Money to Migrate:

Begin to plan financially, if you intend to move to another country at some point in your life. Do note that before you move you will need to spend money, during migration you will need to spend and after you settle down in a new country you will still need to spend out of pocket for a long time, do not let anyone deceive you, there is no free lunch even in Freetown, put aside a migration fund to help you fulfill your dream.

  1. The better your Skills the easier it is to Migrate – Spend to Skill-up:

Skills in Banking, Engineering, Information Technology, Food, Accounting, Nursing Languages are always in high demand globally. If you have plans to migrate at some point in your life then spend some money and devote some quality time to build your skills in any of these areas. Personally, I like to skill up in the information technology space where attitude, rather than aptitude, is the name of the game. This basically means that with the right attitude of daily consistency you can acquire any skill in the information technology space in preparation for your desired migration.

  1. The Stronger your Documentation, The Easier it is to Migrate; Therefore Spend now to obtain proper Documentation:

Officially legalize all your document where possible, be it birth documents, educational documents, marriage documents, etc. For Marriage, make sure to get a government-approved document that signifies consensual union with your partner, this could come back to haunt you if left undone, same for kids gotten outside of wedlock. The more official documents you possess, the easier it is to settle down and integrate into another country when you do migrate.

  1. The Easiest Route to Migration Success is Education, therefore save for your Education:

Settling down in a new country involves unlearning and relearning. This too will cost you money. You do well to start early by setting aside a learning fund to help you get updated educationally when you arrive in your new country.

Final Word: Migration has tremendous benefits and offers one the opportunity of seeing the beautiful vagaries that the World has to offer. More so, the story that the grass is always greener on the other side may be true after all, and only those who cross over to the other side can enjoy these greener pastures. The courage to make the move is usually the deciding factor but as we have pointed out, finance is also a critical factor!
