When it comes to migration, many only think about the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and the like. These Countries are now known as the big leagues and do not come cheap by way of migration! Yet there are several other nice countries that allow for cheap migration using several routes that leave money in your pocket.

In this series, we will be examining some of the more pocket-friendly Countries, where one can easily fulfill their lifelong economic dreams as migrants. We hope this article will help many to make better migration and financial choices.

  1. Norway. As we have explained in our previous migration article, the easiest way to move abroad is through the ‘education pathway’ other ways include career, investment, etc. When we talk about academics, Norway is a fantastic country to move to and the reason why this is so is simply that academic tuition is mostly completely free in this Scandinavian Country. Imagine moving to the United Kingdom to school for a master’s degree, your minimum tuition fee as an international student in the UK will be around £13,000. Now imagine having to get that same degree in Norway at zero tuition fee! Sounds like a cost-saving move to me! This might yet be the most financially savvy decision you will make in a long while! Furthermore, all you need to apply for your study visa to Norway is your academic transcript and your international passport, you do not need to show any test of English as a foreign language. once you can prove that you can take care of yourself in Norway (usually with €10,000 in a bank account) you are good to go.
  2. Germany. Surprisingly, Germany also comes through as a cheap education migration Country, again for the same reason that tuition is mostly free! Also, Germany accepts grades like Second class lower, Third-class grades, and even national diplomas for post-graduate education. Germany also has free vocational schools for tradesmen and women. However, do note that Germany requires the sum of €10,800 in a blocked German account which you will access once you arrive in Germany.
  3. Iceland. This is another great destination for would-be Migrants. You do not need to show a blocked account and the proof for subsistence is only about €6,000 with the promise of free tuition. Iceland however needs proof of English language test, unlike Germany and Norway.

…to be continued.
